Rechargeable batteries wear out in toothbrushes and razors long before the mechanical parts do. This leads to excessive waste and throwing out perfectly functioning machines because the battery is not replaceable.
Why don't companies like Braun, Norelco, and Oral B design their products with a replaceable rechargeable battery? It the motive is profit, it comes at the cost to the environment of throwing away perfectly good devices simply because the batteries wear out.
SOLUTION: Provide a design with replaceable rechargeable battery.
DOWNSIDES: Can't think of any?
